To Our Valued Members:
I just wanted to take a moment to provide you with an update regarding our 2020/21 season.
The City of Peterborough, Arena Division, has received our application for the 2020/21 season and are currently in the process of finalizing the contract for signature.
The signing of a contract does not guarantee that we will start in September, however the decision to resume the game we all love will be the sole decision of the City of Peterborough.
I am in constant contact with our treasurer, Jim Dancey, and the decision to cash the cheques we currently hold will be based on the decision of the City of Peterborough.
The City has provided a list of protocols supplied by the Canadian Amateur Recreational Hockey Association (CARHA) which will need to be adhered to. The list will be provided to all members on resumption of play. There may be additional protocols provided by the City of Peterborough to be followed.
As part of our commitment to the City, each player will be required to sign off that they will abide by the protocols. Strict adherence will be required failing which a player may be ejected from the league without refund.
Player safety has taken on a new definition, and it is up to us to respect the protocols and protect each other. Any "common sense" suggestions which may assist in keeping each other safe is welcome by emailing me directly at email@example.com or by calling me directly at 705-930-2494.
Our world has change, and we all need to be part of accommodating the changes that we face as we move forward.
In closing, I will you all good health and safety.
